One inspector at CME is getting a pretty cool view of Nevada’s energy future at NV Energy’s North Valmy Substation while performing rebar inspections. This project will convert the North Valmy Substation from coal to natural gas, reducing carbon emissions while maintaining reliable power for northern Nevada. The project also includes a 400-megawatt solar facility and battery storage system to expand renewable energy capacity. The future of Nevada’s energy is taking shape.
