Things are really shaking at the massive Grand Sierra Resort Arena project! This photo shows Vibro Piers being installed by Keller North America. After holes are predrilled, a vibrating probe and funnel are lowered into place and filled with aggregate. As the hole is filled in 1–2 foot increments, the probe compacts and expands the material into the surrounding soil to create a strong foundation element. This project will require approximately 1500 piers!
