Edward C. Reed High School Modernization CMAR Project | Sparks, NV

The Washoe County School District’s Edward C. Reed High School Modernization Project is a $70 million campus-wide initiative designed to update the school’s learning environment, athletic facilities, safety systems, and supporting infrastructure. The project encompasses approximately 160,000 square feet of improvements, including 70,000 square feet of new construction and the renovation of approximately 90,000 square feet within the existing 237,000-square-foot campus. CME is providing IBC special inspection, construction observation, and materials testing services throughout construction.

Construction is being completed in multiple phases while the school remains fully operational. CME’s inspectors and technicians provide responsive field observation, inspection, testing, and documentation to support compliance with the approved construction documents, applicable codes, and project requirements. The work requires close coordination with WCSD, Collaborative Design Studio, Plenium Builders, and other project stakeholders to maintain student safety, control campus access, and minimize disruptions to school operations. Construction began in June 2025 and is scheduled for completion in Summer 2027.
