Church Street Extension & Trout Creek Restoration | Truckee, CA
CME is currently providing the Town of Truckee with construction management services on their three largest capital improvement projects. The Church Street Extension/Trout Creek Restoration is a roadway improvement and creek restoration project in Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) right of way. The project was recently completed and included extending a roadway with two travel lanes, a new roundabout, and a bike path in both directions and incorporating vital drainage improvements. Trout Creek was also restored as part of this project, which required dewatering the creek and installing a new bridge and rock slope protection. Construction includes sidewalks, curbs, gutters, crosswalks, ADA accessibility, landscaping, lighting, underground utilities, storm drainage improvements, and parking improvements. CME services include construction management, construction compliance and operations, meetings and coordination, and contract administration. Daily responsibilities include inspection, specification compliance, traffic control review, and SWPPP review. NV5 provided geotechnical engineering services during design and special inspection and materials testing services during construction.
