It was a proud evening for the CME team, with several individuals and projects receiving meaningful recognition.
Principal Jon Del Santo was recognized with the ASCE Engineer of the Year Award, one of the organization’s highest distinctions. The award honors those who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the civil engineering field through technical excellence, leadership, and service to the community. It celebrates individuals whose work has significantly advanced infrastructure, strengthened the profession, and positively impacted the public.
Our President and third-generation University of Nevada, Reno graduate, Marty Crew, was honored as the inaugural CEE Distinguished Alumni of the Year. The award recognizes a lifetime of dedication and support of the university’s Civil & Environmental Engineering department.
CME was further humbled to be recognized on three Project of the Year awards: Environmental Project of the Year for the IVGID Effluent Export Pipeline Replacement; Structural/Geotechnical Project of the Year for the Carson City Fire Station 55 & Emergency Response Center; and Transportation Project of the Year for the RTC Veterans Roundabout Modification project.
Congratulations to everyone involved in these accomplishments! We’re proud to be part of a team making a lasting impact on our community.
