CME’s inspector captured the full scope of the Herlong Elevated Water Tank while CME continues on-site NACE inspection.
NACE (now AMPP) certification ensures coatings are applied correctly to protect steel structures from corrosion. As the third-party inspector on this project, CME is performing steel blast inspections, paint-thickness checks, and holiday testing while the interior of the tank receives a full recoat — including sandblasting, an interior primer, and two interior finish coats.
We’re also verifying exterior spot-blast and recoat areas where peeling, blistering, or delamination has occurred to ensure the work meets industry standards and long-term performance expectations.
