Several CME employees and their families spent Mother’s Day participating in the Pinocchio’s Moms on the Run walk/run event in support of the breast cancer awareness. This event focuses on raising funds to help cover everyday living expenses of northern Nevada families enduring breast and gynecological cancers. Over 98% of the funds raised stay local, which makes a large positive impact on our community.
Everyone sported their pink shirts and sunglasses on the 5K walk through the neighborhood. Following the walk, several local businesses were on the quad to raise awareness and provide education related to breast cancer. It was a great event that we hope to continue to sponsor and take part in next year.
